Just Cause 3′s first expansion, Sky Fortress, will be available starting next week. Expansion Pass holders can get it for March 8, while those without the Expansion Pass have to wait a week, to get it starting March 15.

“The new content will fundamentally alter how our players approach the game – we’re really looking forward to seeing how fans adapt to the new Wingsuit,” said Tobias Andersson, senior producer at Avalanche Studios. “The new story missions, challenges and gadgets that can be taken into the main game really mix things up, and we can’t wait for players to revisit Medici and start getting even more creative.”

It’s going to be a hefty addition to the main game, even more over the top than the base campaign, if impressions are anything to go by. It can either be bought separately for £9.49, or for £19.99 as part of the Expansion Pass, which also entitles you to all other DLC and expansions for the game.

Before the expansion launches, a new patch will be made available. It will include:

  • Reduced initial loading time and in-game loading screens by 20-50%
  • Fixed several memory leaks resulting in crashes
  • Reduced a number of random crashes  v
  • Improved streaming of game world
  • Some performance optimizations related to hitches and stuttering
  • Implemented DLC system in preparation of the Air, Land and Sea packages

Just Cause 3 is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
