Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date Is Still Unknown At This Point

Put the brakes on that hype train.

It’s rare that I get to say something like this, so I take a measure of childish pleasure from it. Today, Goofy goofed up. Today, by way of Twitter, Bill Farmer who famously portrays Goofy released a message “confirming” that Kingdom Hearts 3 was indeed going to be released this year and following the statement the internet was in a Kingdom Hearts frenzy.

Unfortunately, Bill later released another tweet saying that it was still unannounced which naturally broke many (Kingdom) hearts. His somewhat deflating tweet reads, “The release date for Kingdom Hearts Three has not been announced yet!”

Given that both the developers and publishers of the game, Square Enix, are famous for having incredibly drawn out production times, it would be no surprise if this game doesn’t come out for another year or so, but that doesn’t deter fans from remaining hopeful and begging for a 2015 launch for the next entry into the popular fantasy series.
