King’s Quest is back and it will be published by Activision. Along with the announcement, the developers also revealed a new trailer for King’s Quest showing intriguing gameplay mechanics. Just for your information, the original game was released more than 30 years ago.

During the The Game Awards, the original developers of King’s Quest and Sierra’s founders Roberta Williams and her husband Ken Williams, received the Industry Icon Award for their work in the games industry. The new title will be developed by The Odd Gentlemen and they will reimagine the storyline and characters in the game, making sure that the new version will not be related in anyway to the original title developed by Sierra.

King’s Quest will release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2015. Stay tuned for more news and updates from the ongoing The Game Awards as we have more to come soon.
