Kojima Productions’ Fox Engine Showcasing on August 30th

Posted By | On 23rd, Jul. 2012

The father of Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid, Hideo Kojima, has confirmed that the Fox Engine is nearing completion and will be showcased on August 30th. No points for guessing why, since this marks the 25th anniversary of the Metal Gear franchise.

Kojima stated:

The Fox Engine is nearly finished, but the only way to be sure it works is to create a game at the same time and improve the engine with our tools as we go along. Originally we were going to do this for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, but a lot happened along the way and instead it is being made with the engine they have at Platinum Games.

No news on what they were making with the engine, though all speculations center on it being the next Metal Gear Solid.

He did say however, that they “are ready to show what it can do… on August 30th in Japan to be more specific”.
