No relation to Sonic's friendly nemesis Knuckles, of course.

Famitsu has some new details on Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII (the number of times we’ve written that in the past few weeks, huh?), and it concerns a certain new friendly nemesis: Lumina. She carries a bit of Lightning’s style, going for a gothic lolita approach, but knows where Lightning is headed more often than not.

Sometimes she’ll aid Lightning’s progress, other time she’ll get in her way. For Lumina, Lightning is something to be toyed with more often than not. Other interesting details concern the battle system, as apparently you’ll be able to guard and evade in fights.

Finally, if you think Lightning’s costume looks silly, you can change it. Aside from accessories, you can go with three kinds of “wear” in a set, and even equip them in battle. Two new costumes have also been discussed: The Dark Muse outfit, which provides a camouflage jacket, knife, and a lattice style shield and The Lonely Soul in a Sandstorm, which carries a samurai style influence.

What do you guys think? More excitement for Lightning Returns: FFXIII when it releases this year for PS3 and Xbox 360 or less?
