With the release date of at the very least the 3DS installment of the new Super Smash Bros. game rapidly approaching, Nintendo and developer Sakurai of Sora are giving us more and more delicious news to feed on. And the last 24 hours have just been a positive flurry of exciting Smash news.

For starters, Ubisoft’s Rayman was confirmed to be an inclusion in the new Smash Bros. game- now before you get too excited, he’s only confirmed (so far) as a Trophy, meaning he’s not playable.

In addition, Nintendo also confirmed Lucina and Robin, the stars of Fire Emblem: Awakening, as newcomers to Smash Bros. 4; Robin, for those of you who’re a little confused, is the default name of the protagonist’s avy in Awakening. Players in Smash Bros. can opt to play as both, the male and female version of Robin. In addition, the central character in Awakening’s story, Chrom, is also confirmed to be in Smash 4., albeit only as a part of Robin’s Final Smash.

That’s not all though- series veteran and meme sensation Captain Falcon will also be returning for his fourth gig in Smash Bros., bringing with him his unique brand of heft meets agility meets devastating prowess.

Super Smash Bros. launches on 3DS this October, with the Wii U version following sometime this Holiday season.
