Mass Effect 3 DLC sold before release by GameStop

GameStop may have accidentally leaked the first major, story release of Mass Effect 3, an entire month before the game itself actually even releases.

A consumer sent a receipt image to Joystiq (pictured right), confirming that GameStop sold a code for Mass Effect 3’s “FromDust” DLC (no, not Ubisoft’s From Dust). The consumer claims the DLC was sold at $10.

For a $10 DLC, you can expect more than just character skins, weapons or updates. It looks and sounds like a major story DLC, but BioWare or EA are yet to confirm anything.

EA recently announced a full fledged third person shooter Mass Effect game, called Infiltrator, for all iOS devices, and it looks pretty awesome. Read the full story here.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt, we’ll keep you updated.

Mass Effect 3 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on March 6.
