Mass Effect had a somewhat ’80s style “Blade Runner” vibe about it. Dark, moody, mysterious. Those are fine elements to have in a futuristic game, of course. But what if we try some new atmospheres? New aesthetics we haven’t seen much of? We need some mesmerizing, colorful worlds where we feel explorative. With the original, being under constant duress was entertaining, but a break every now and then wouldn’t hurt. It adds a lot more character to this new galaxy, as well.
