Dreams

Media Molecule made good on the hype and showcased Dreams, its upcoming PS4 exclusive, at Sony’s Paris Games Week show in all of its stunning glory. Like LittleBigPlanet, Dreams is as much about gameplay as creation but the developer is taking a decidedly different approach this time. Check out some new footage with the developer to get a better idea of what to expect.

Dreams has a variety of scenarios and rules for players to explore, each “dream” essentially acting as a self contained game in some ways. Through exploring the various dreams, players learn the basics of the controls and how to go about using the toolset at their disposal. The game’s art style, which doesn’t stick to a single paradigm, is also part of the appeal.

The beta for Dreams is currently slated to release in 2016 with more information to come in the following months. What are your thoughts on the gameplay? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more.
