Metal Gear Rising Revengeance: Say Hello to Jack the Ripper

A long 7-minute trailer from Platinum tells us why to fear Raiden.

Coinciding with the recent announcement of the demo for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance arriving on January 22nd (which also shipped with Zone of the Enders HD Collection) for PSN and Xbox Live, Platinum Games also released a new, 7-minute trailer for the game titled “Jack the Ripper”.

Simply because Raiden’s real name is Jack and he rips…oh you get the point.

The trailer showcases quite a bit by way of cutscene material, but there’s a fair amount of gameplay as well as we see Raiden tearing up mechs and enemies left and right, like only he can. And it’s indeed a scary thing to note that he does it all by himself.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is currently slated to release on February 19th for North America and 22nd for Europe. Konami has already detailed several amounts of DLC for the game, including the ability to play as the Cyborg Ninja from MGS as an alternative costume.
