Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain – MG: Online Matches To Range From 1v1 To 8v8 Players
New information regarding custom matches revealed.
Some details may have slipped by you recently regarding Metal Gear Online and its customisable gameplay options. They came out by way of the official Metal Gear Online Twitter account which revealed about what players can expect in terms of player count in custom matches, which still had some fans confused.
They said, “I have some good news this morning for fans of custom matches and additional options. After some deliberation, and thanks to your input, we have implemented a custom match option that allows for additional player numbers. When playing a custom match, you can select 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5, 6v6, 7v7, and 8v8 # of players.”
The default setting for a normal match it seems is 6v6 or 8v8, presumably defaulted to depending on the map in question. It was also confirmed that the game doesn’t support AI Bot functionality at this time and that the experience is purely a player driven one. This may change at some point down the line, but don’t count your chicken hats. For more on Metal Gear Online, check out our recent information blowout here.
