Microsoft and Sony Get In On The Inane ‘Dress’ Meme

IT'S WHITE AND GOLD, GUYS.

Yesterday, the internet sort of… exploded with the most inane meme possible, as a picture of a dress, posted on Tumblr, caused everyone to melt down in tearful arguments over its color (it was clearly white and gold, guys). Because of the photograph, the ambient lighting conditions, and the differing constitutions of everyone’s eyes, you either saw it as white and gold, or you saw it as black and blue .

Everyone decided to get in on the fun. By everyone, I mean the game companies as well- Sony and Microsoft both posted images playfully poking fun at the entire episode, with Sony tweeting an image of a black and blue DualShock 4 controller, captioned ‘Introducing the white and Gold DualShock 4 controller.’

Microsoft wasn’t too far behind either, as it tweeted an image of a white and gold Xbox One– the funny thing being that this white and gold skin for the console can actually be purchased online for $40, if you really want it that bad.

And then you can tell your friends that it is black and blue.
