All that money you’re paying for Xbox Live is assuring quality services for you guys- Microsoft just issued a service alert, acknowledging that they’re currently limited gaming, social and purchasing features available on the online platform for the Xbox 360, although CVG reports that Xbox One players are being affected too.

“Are you having trouble purchasing content with CSV credit? We’ve got you covered, Xbox members! Thanks for your patience while we work toward a fix. Check back in 30 minutes for an update on our progress,” said one statement.

Another statement read: “If you are having trouble using certain game features in Forza 5, this is due to a scheduled maintenance taking place right now. Thanks for being patient. We’ll let you know as soon as this work is complete.”

Jokes aside, service outages on Xbox Live aren’t commonplace, so I guess that makes the pill somewhat easier to swallow. We’ll keep you posted on further updates.
