Modern Warfare 3 copies stolen and pirated

Posted By | On 29th, Oct. 2011

Reportedly, an employee at a shipping company two copies of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (PC version) and leaked it onto torrent sites ahead of its November 8 release date. And now, these torrents are circulating through the States.

Activision is looking to stop this fiasco. They’re chasing down those who’re playing the game illegally, asking them to delete the pirated files, or face a $5,000 fine and a permanent ban from online services.

It’s a real shame that this has happened. Modern Warfare 3 joins Gears of War 3, Arkham City and Battlefield 3 in the list of major games being leaked before release.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 releases on November 8 for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii and DS.

Stay tuned to GB, we’ll keep you updated.
