We all love a good controversy now and then, and the video game industry is certainly no stranger to them, from outraged parents to media groups, video games has been the subject of moral debate as the game industry has done a lot of things that have caused heads to turn.

We take a look at some of these controversies from the last generation that made some of the games popular or quite hated.  And I’m sure that with release of next gen console’s that the controversies have just begun and we are yet to see and experience more bizarre events in the coming years. We will also take a look at some awful moments in gaming that actually made us wonder why they were implemented at the first place.

1. Call of Duty Modern Warfare- Nuke

Modern Warfare had some great set pieces , but it also had its moments of shock and awe. In one of the missions appropriately titled Shock and Awe, a nuclear bomb goes off and the blast kills 30,000 US soldiers in game. This moment shocked a lot of people because no one expected the bad guys to win and certainly no one expected the character that you were playing to die.
