Tekken and Soul Calibur developers Namco Bandai have announced that their newest game, Rise of Incarnates, a free to play fighter exclusive to the PC, will be out later this year in North America.

Rise of Incarnates will feature two versus two online gameplay in cityscape arenas that will allow players to run, jump and fly and use “unique” skills and powers.

Incarnates, the titular characters of the games, are humans who “command untold mythical powers as they vie to avoid tragedy and reshape the course of their world.”. They’re widely hated by the general population. A battle is triggered between Incarnates when an  unknown voice tells them to destroy ‘Sovereign of this era’ to avoid certain destruction.”

“As a new franchise, Rise of Incarnates represents the next big step in expanding Bandai Namco’s footprint in the free-to-play gaming space,” director of digital games at Bandai Namco Games America Joon Hwang said in a press statement. “Having been built from the ground up, Rise of Incarnates contains the necessary attributes that create a rich and dynamic gaming environment that fans are sure to enjoy.”
