Namco Has “No Say” In Street Figther X Tekken

Posted By | On 21st, Apr. 2011

When asked by Gamesradar if SFXT required a lot of back and forth discussions between the two giant companies involved, producer Yoshinori Ono responded: “This will come as a shock no doubt, but the way the deal was structured, they have no say in what we make and we have no say in what they’re making. You guys probably have more information at this moment than Namco. They’ll find out a lot of this information, what characters are in it and stuff when the embargo lifts like everyone else. In fact, they haven’t touched the playable and you have, so you’ve got that advantage as well.”

Equally then Capcom have no say in Tekken X Street Fighter. The two titles are planned for simultaneous release as a way of judging who’s is the superior franchise by way of sales.

Thanks to Gamesradar for the info.
