In keeping with their theme of giving you a highly personalized and customized experience in the upcoming NBA 2K16, 2K Sports today announced that they are partnering with real life apparel brands, such as Mitchell & Ness, Adidas, Stance, Under Armour, Jordan Brand, Pigalle & Nike, to add a lot of authentic gear to the game that players will then be able to choose in an almost endless array of permutations and combinations to customize their look throughout their career.

It’s a very minor detail, but it’s undoubtedly going to appeal to enthusiasts, and to players who really want to project themselves into the game and really chart their own career through the NBA ranks. It also fits in neatly with the whole ‘Be The Story’ angle that 2K Sports is pushing with this year’s game.

NBA 2K16 is set to launch on September 29 on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4. Stay tuned for more coverage.
