We have some new details on Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. Tetsuya Nomura, character designer for Square Enix, has revealed in an interview with Famitsu that he didn’t design Lumnia’s character model, and it was designed by Toshiyuki Itahana.

The costume you see Lightning wearing in the trailer was designed in a unique way. It was inspired from a leather bodysuit and the arms were modeled off of a spinal column.

Noel who was seen in the extended trailer revealed by Square Enix recently is fighting to free his soul. The game will have the busiest ATB system and the style change is instant done using pressing a button.

The armor’s arms that was inspired by a spinal cord can be seen below. The design is very accurate. The shield wasn’t designed by Nomura, including the sunglasses that you saw in the trailer.
