New Octodad: Dadliest Catch Trailer Rings Wedding Bells, Shows Off First Level of the Game

New, intriguing looking title gets a new trailer.

What is Octodad: Dadliest Catch? It’s a game with a bizarre premise that seems like an American animation take on Japanese hentai porn, but with a much more innocuous hook: a focus on physics based puzzles. The title, which originally started as a freeware piece of software developed by college students in their free time, but is now being prepped for the PlayStation 4, managed to get some attention at E3.

The newest trailer shows us more of both, the premise and the gameplay. The premise: it shows us an octopus getting married to a human woman, and the preparations that go into it (mostly these involved finding and fitting clothes), and then the actual marriage. After this, it proceeds to show us the first level of the game, which, obviously, is a bit heavy on the tutorials, but nonetheless does a solid job of presenting the game’s core gameplay conceit.

All in all, it does loom interesting. Expect us to keep an eye on it for you.
