With the North American launch of Sony’s next generation console, the PlayStation 4, less than two weeks away, the Japan based company have released a new video which showcases the consoles’s brand new features.

The PlayStation 4’s 8GB of GDDR5 RAM is one of the highlights of the console. The RAM tops out at a speed of 176 GB/seconds and several well know developers are extremely happy with Sony for including such a high speed memory in a console. The footage also focuses on the unified architecture of the CPU and GPU. The PlayStation 4 features next generation AMD GPU which runs 1.84 tera flops. Once again this feature was applauded by industry experts. Sony ditched the complicated Cell architecture and instead opted for industry standard x86 architecture which should see games development become much easier.

Other features that are highlighted in the video are Blu Ray Drive and the various connectivity options. PlayStation 4 launches November 15t in North America and November 29th in United Kingdom.
