New Wildstar Dev Diary Talks About ‘Adventures’

The upcoming NCSoft game, Wildstar, a science fiction massively multiplayer online role playing game being made by ex-Blizzard developers, looks ace, and now, the developers are finally ready to take the lid off of a feature that they have been very excited about, apparently- they call them ‘adventures,’ and these appear to be smaller multiplayer games set up within the larger game (simulations set up in alternate game worlds, the developers called them).

Essentially, you can set out on a new adventure with a party of five, and access gameplay modes and mechanics that ordinarily would not be accessible to you over the course of normal gameplay in the game. It sort of feels like a take on Monster Hunter within the larger context of an MMO, but honestly, that description does sound a little to limiting.

Check out the video above, and see if the developers can’t explain the concept better than I can.
