With all the new crazy stuff that Sony has announced for the PSP2 (NGP), the price point is not the only thing we’re worried about. We’re extremely worried about the battery life as well.

Well, we’re not worried anymore (kind of). SCE Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida told Kotaku that the system will have a battery life equal to the current PSP-3000 models, meaning a battery lasting between 4-6 hours. That’s better than the 3DS’ 3-5 hours. SO that’s good. Well, relatively.

Stay tuned, we’ll have more info for you soon.

I’m starting to wonder, usually with these handhelds they release something that seems amazing at first and then later they reveal a smaller more capable system and jack the price back up to it’s original market value. So what will the second generation PSP2 include? The battery life on this system is expected to be decent what with the technology available, but will that be an upgraded feature in the next PSP2 to come out?
