Nintendo has gone on record as saying it will be bringing more information about its upcoming console at some point this year. But the most interesting part about waiting is that it isn’t just gamers wanting to get their hands on more information. It appears retailers are just as interested in what’s coming.
GoNintendo is reporting that Gamestop recently sent out a survey and among the questions included in that survey were a couple of questions asking just how interested people were in buying the new console. The survey seems to take into account that the Nintendo NX is going to be available in the next 12 months. In fact, the questions asked whether or not people are going to be buying Nintendo’s NX, or whatever it will be called, within the next one year.
The survey doesn’t actually ask just about the Nintendo NX, rather it’s asking people about a number of new devices that are all going to be hitting the market over the next few months. The survey asks whether or not people are likely to buy the NX, but also asks how likely they are to buy something like the Oculus Rift or the PlayStation VR. Without a ton of information about what the NX is going to offer, it’s interesting that Gamestop seems to be trying to figure out how many people will be interested in it simply because it’s new and from Nintendo.
