Nintendo Switch Listing For $245 Emerges

Is the new Nintendo system going to be priced at $250 or less?

Earlier today, we reported that apparently, the Nintendo Switch will have two SKUs, coming in at £200 and £250 respectively. That would, of course, be a great price for the Nintendo system, and give it an immense price advantage, to go with the intrinsic appeal of its concept, right off the bat. Now, we seem to have another retailer listing corroborating what GAME UK and LPVG said.

The website for Toys R Us Canada (via NeoGAF) lists the Nintendo Switch’s price as being $329, which translates to $245 in US currency terms (probably rounded up to $250)- this seems to correspond to a £200 price for the system in the UK.

If these listings and rumors indeed prove to be true, then Nintendo look to have learned from the pricing debacles of the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS- this is a great price, and is sure to get the Switch off the ground and to a great start. Now Nintendo just need to ensure that there is something meaningful to play at launch, instead of the paucity of content that associated the Wii U and especially 3DS launches.
