Nintendo Will Be Giving Away An NX, As A Prize For A Splatoon Competition

Splatoon

We still don’t know what the NX is, and Nintendo still refuse to talk about it ever, except to let us know that they won’t be talking about it… but it looks like they are willing to give away NXs to people as prizes for competitions involving their games. Sometimes, I don’t get this company.

The way it will work is this- the ESL Go4Splatoon tournament will consist of a six month long season of matches, which will end in March (incidentally announced to be the release date for the NX), before a grand finale is held later next year- the winner of that will get to take home a free NX.

Regrettably, even with this, we still don’t know what the NX is, and the website for ESL doesn’t have any details at all that could tell us anything (however, interestingly enough, it does take care to refer to the NX as a system, rather than a handheld or a console, adding to speculation that it may be a hybrid, and so technically unclassifiable in the traditional sense).

Man, at this rate, the NX will be out and Nintendo will still have not talked to us about what it is.
