Well deserved.

Markus Persson or Notch as he is known in the gaming world has become the second most influential person in the world, as voted by the readers of Time Magazine. Egypt’s president Mohamed Morsi was the no. 1 guy.

The final 100 list selected by editors will be revealed on Thursday 18th April. Notch made Minecraft, a game that has sold 20 million copies on PC, Xbox 360 and iOS platforms.

He is also the only game creator in the list which is a surprise but considering he has created something that very few people can do, the spot is a well deserved one.

The list also includes Psy and Jackie Chan who have been voted higher than US president Barack Obama. These polls usually don’t mean a lot but Time is an influential magazine.

You can check out the poll here. Tell us what you think in the comments section below.

Thanks, CVG.
