OUYA

It hasn’t seen even a hint of success that the initial Kickstarter campaign promised but that hasn’t stopped the Android-based OUYA console yet. The company is preparing to release a new 16 GB version of the OUYA on February first, and it will be available through OUYA.tv, Amazon, and Amazon.ca.

The new OUYA offers more than that though. You’ll also see the latest firmware for improved performance, improved Wi-Fi connectivity, an updated controller with improved Bluetooth functionality and an overall new look with the black matte finish. Honestly, it all looks a little too enticing just like…well, the initial release of the OUYA.

The new OUYA 16 GB will be available for $129.99 in North America but you’ll be able to pick up the old model for $99.99. What are your thoughts on the overall success of the OUYA? Do you own one and how has it been working out for you? Let us know in the comments below.
