Overwatch Ecopoint: Antarctica Map Glitchs Allows Mei To Fire Through Walls

Fix this soon, Blizzard!

Posted By | On 01st, Jan. 2017

When you are custodians of the world’s most popular multiplayer shooter, you need to ensure that there are no balance glitches or errors that disrupt the game. Otherwise, some players get an unfair advantage, and the entire metagame comes crashing down.

That could happen with Overwatch if Blizzard do not address this glitch soon. Apparently, the new Ecopoint Antarctica map gives players playing as Mei an unfair advantage. Mei players find that they can gain access to restricted areas on the map, and also that they can attack enemies through walls. That’s… not good at all. It means that Ecopoint Antarctica at least becomes just a glut of Mei players all trying to cheese each other.

Of course, Blizzard are excellent at responding to problems like these, and at keeping older games alive with post launch support and updates, so this shouldn’t be an issue for very long. But for now, I guess, avoid playing on the Antarctica map at all.
