Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch was to receive a patch this week that would prevent players from bringing other heroes besides Lucio into the Lucioball mode for the Summer Games event. That patch has since gone live for PC and it was noted that these changes would be rolled into a larger patch for Xbox One and PS4 for a later date.

The patch also brings some balance changes to maps. Defenders will now have 10 seconds respawn time across all maps, putting further emphasis on staying alive. Will this make the Temple of Anubis more fun to play for attackers? Time will tell. The speed of the payload has also been reduced slightly on Watchpoint: Gibraltar.

The remainder of the patch prevents players from exploring out of bounds areas in Nepal while also displaying the city walls correctly for Anubis. What are your thoughts on the changes, especially to the defenders’ respawn times? Let us know in the comments below.
