Overwatch Teasing King’s Row Event on April 11th

"Mandatory robot registration" required.

Posted By | On 04th, Apr. 2017

Each month brings something new for Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch and many assumed a new event would be coming in April (especially since Year of the Rooster was in January). Ask and you shall receive as the game’s official Twitter is teasing something with King’s Row.

The tweet is from the Overwatch Mission Archives and indicates a file called “King’s Row Uprising” from seven years ago. It will be “declassified” on April 11th, Tuesday which is when Overwatch events and major updates usually go live.

There are several things to speculate on: First, that this is an event which takes place in the past, focusing on Omnics and their rebellion (especially with the whole “mandatory robot registration” poster).

Second, this could be a tease for something else rather than the actual event. It seems unlikely that there would be a further reveal since Blizzard takes that approach for heroes and not events. We’ll find out for ourselves next week.
