Patience is a virtue it seems. Having been released nearly two months ago for Xbox 360, the First Strike DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops will finally make its way to PC gamers this friday.

Treyarch’s Josh Olin has confirmed the news via Twitter; ‘First Strike’ “will be coming to PC March 25th!”

The First Strike DLC includes four new competitive multiplayer maps – Berlin Wall, Discovery, Stadium and Kowloon – and a new Zombies level called Ascension. It’s priced at (£11.49/$14.99). The price is a little high, but beggars can’t be choosers.

Check out Olin’s twitter for the full tweet.

Don’t have this yet but hoping to get it soon. Has anyone played it; any good or bad reviews?

  • wow late but better than never. Why is that pricey though, it’s the same price on the PSN.

why is it that not all systems get the releases on the same date… does it have to do with developing the add-on ad whichever gets made first gets released first…or do the different consoles get into a bidding war to have “first dibs” on the dlc to try and lure people to buy the game on their system

Yeah, Microsoft brought the first rights to the downloadable content. But, I think Treyarch’s just been lazy, it’s been two mounts since the downloadable content original released. I think that’s more then enough time to release the downloadable content on all platforms.

I would think MS’s exclusivity deal includes sum kind of time frame b4 they can b released elsewhere. It must b sad 4 PC gamers that they r the last 2 get content 4 a former PC only franchise.

    • yea but considering the fact that they get the highest quality out of all three platforms I’d say its alomst a fair trade.

Yeah the maps r definitely solid. The zipline in Kowloon defintely brings sum strategy in. Berlin Wall has huge autoturrets so u have 2 weigh the options of runnin down the middle. & Stadium is 1 of the best black ops maps ever. Plus more zombies is always a win.

I don’t know if there is any advantage 2 playin CoD on the PC anymore. There r no dedicated servers or mod tools & they have 2 pay 4 the maps just like we do, except they get them last. Sadly I think the consoles r the highest priority now cuz that’s where Activision make most if their $.
