Phantasy Star Online 2 Update to Allow Players to Fight Doppelgangers

"Conquer yourself!" or so the line goes.

Posted By | On 28th, Dec. 2012

As if being the sequel to Sega’s classic series weren’t enough, Phantasy Star Online 2 will be introducing an awesome update that allows players to fight against their doppelgangers. A new trailer, continuing from “Where the Darkness Gathers” has been released announcing the same.

This “Abduction x Clone” feature basically centers around your camp being attacked by Darkers and you being kidnapped to their den if certain conditions are met. You’ll obviously have to fight your way out, but if other conditions are met, you’ll be fighting copies of other players (and even yourself). Defeat one of them, and the item drop will be well worth it.

Let’s not forget the lobby gearing up for New Year’s, effective from January 1st 2013. The remaining update will be ready by the 9th however.

Phantasy Star Online 2 will be releasing on PS Vita on February 28th 2013 and is already available for PC. The title will support cross play between handheld and PC gamers.
