PlanetSide 2 creative director Matt Higby has just detailed some interesting new features arriving in the next update for the popular MMORPG/FPS on its official forums.

The first new major feature will be Account Level Unlocks, that allow items purchased with StationCash to be usable by all characters on your account as long as they meet the requirements. So even if you decide to flip the bird at the Republic and boot up a Vanu Sovereignty soldier, those common pool items will still be available for you to use.

The other new feature will be VR training, which allows you can test vehicles, weapons, and even get some tactical practice in without worrying about resource cost or cooldown timers. Some areas will allow for the testing of different tactics.

Along with the usual balances, tweaks and gameplay changes, there will also be a new rocket launcher that all three factions will be able to utilize.
