PopCap Games have announced that their tower defence shooter title, Plant Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, has received a new DLC pack titled Garden Variety Pack, available starting today itself for free on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

The DLC will include 24 new ability upgrades, three for each class. These will include Sunflower’s Solar Flare Beam, Chomper’s Super Goop which “cements zombies in place” and the All-Star Zombie’s Ultra Tackle. Thanks to these upgrades, players will also have even more load out options on the battlefield.

The DLC pack also includes a new map that’s called Chomp Town. The pack will also add to the game a completely new 8v8 multiplay game mode titled Gnome Bomb that will “challenge plants and zombies to work together to destroy each other’s reinforced garden or graveyard.”

There will also be more pirate zombies, including a map pirate zombie that will use a treasure map as a shield.

Stay tuned for more updates.
