PlayStation App (10)
Sony has officially updated its PlayStation App in preparation for the PS4’s launch and it is now available free for iOS and Android. Keep in mind that you’ll need a PSN ID in order to take advantage of it.

Some of the new features help integrate your smartphone or tablet with the new console. You’ll be able to view what your friends are playing, check your profile or recent activity and compare Trophies. You’ll also be able to chat with friends, with the chat-system being cross-platform with the PS4 and Vita, receive notification and even use your mobile as an on-screen keyboard for the PS4.

The app will also allow for new second-screen features, expected to be unique for each game, that will offer different challenges. If that weren’t enough, you can also easily access the PlayStation Store and browse through guides and manuals online.

The PlayStation 4 releases in North America on November 15th and in Europe on November 29th.
