PlayStation Now

Sony has always added a few new games to PlayStation Now, it’s subscription-based game streaming service where PS4 players can experience PS3 releases for a monthly fee, but it’s decided to go all out this month. It recently added 105 new games to the service, thus allowing for 250 games in total.

Such games include Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD, Guilty Gear Xrd – SIGN, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, Anna Extended Edition, Sniper Ghost Warrior and lots of Capcom titles from the Resident Evil, Lost Planet, Mega Man, Street Fighter and Dead Rising franchises among others. Not a bad deal when you consider that PlayStation Now costs $19.99 per month and $44.99 for three months (with certain games having separate rental costs that are no laughing matter).

What are your thoughts on the deluge of new PS Now titles? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates on games being added to the service.

Excluding Nintendo, it’s a bit crap that the two main consoles only ever consider back compatibility as an after thought.

I imagine it’s to keep costs down and to rush the consoles out before the competition.

But then I think, hold on, Nintendo always gives you BC and a PC is almost BC with everything and emulators are developed to make crazy stuff playable on a PC. So it’s not impossible.

Obviously MS and Sony are quite capable of employing BC but it takes something drastic (like low sales) to force their hand.

PS-Now has nothing to do with backward compatibility as the PS-Now service doesn’t even need console hardware too play the games unlike backward compatibility does.

PS3 and 360 both had BW-Comp- and lets be honest, although gamers wanted that feature is wasn’t used all that much by them, and we all knew how older games ran on new hardware ( crap ). It was not worth having anyway as not all games worked ( just like xbone nowadays ) and when they did work it was not a good as the original versions.

PS-Now is allowing other outlets to experience gaming ( without a console ) and that is better than backward compatibility, it’s more like forward compatibility for gaming needs. PS-Now pricing needs to come down big time but apart from that the idea is better to support than backward compatibility and face issues with hardware problems.

Stfu you Sonyfangirl PlayStation now sucks with lag and artifacts so please, and god forbid if you have bad internet forget of about it. streaming games is not the why to go.second of all there no hardware issues with backwards compatibility on the Xbox or the Wiiu for that matter so stop with the damage control for Sony, they’ve drop the ball going the streaming route and got the nerve to charge for it

You really need to take your own advice. Fact is PS-Now does not stream “on Sony products only”.. dumb@$$..LMAO!

If there are no issues via hardware / software then why isn’t MS allowing all 360 games to be played on Xbone just by the disc then? Oh that’s right, not all games work ( = issues ) lmao!

PS-Now is the start of things to come, sooner or later there will be no need for console hardware ( when was the last time you see a video rental shop ) now we have Netflex etc. people put down the idea of Netflex ( but look at it now ) it’s part of what we know as a standard way of life. Gaming without a console could soon do the same thing. If it does then that means BW-Comp- is dead.
