Pokemon Dev Hiring For “Globally Popular RPG” Heading to Console

It's apparently a franchise that "just about anyone knows".

Game Freak, developer of the highly popular Pokemon series, is hiring for a new project. While it doesn’t explicitly state what it is, there are plenty of hints that point to it being a Pokemon title for consoles.

The job listing (translated by Siliconera) says it’s looking to hire temporary works for a “globally popular RPG” with the target platform being “console.” Experience in Wii U/PlayStation Vita-level character modeling is also required. Furthermore, it’s stated to be “an RPG game that is popular on a global scale,” which “just about anyone knows.”

What’s interesting is how the information in this listing comes from a third party job site. Game Freak’s official site has similar listings but they don’t have the same information. At this point, despite rumours of a new Pokemon title coming to the Nintendo Switch, take this all with a grain of salt.
