Pokemon X & Y: Mega Charizard X Showcased in New Trailer and Screens

Feed the flames further with Mega Stones.

Nintendo and The Pokemon Company has revealed the Mega Evolution for Charizard, with a new trailer showcasing the two Mega forms the classic starter Pokemon can take, namely Mega Charizard X or Mega Charizard Y.

The Mega Stone Charizardite X will convert Charizard into Mega Charizard X with blue flames, and even change his type from Fire and Flying to Fire and Dragon. Charizardite Y on the other hand gives you a more advanced looking Mega Charizard Y with increased special attack and a new ability “Drought” for increasing the power of Fire attacks. You can also use “Blast Burn” which increases in power as you use Drought. While Mega Charizard X is only accessible in Pokemon X version, Mega Charizard Y is only accessible in Pokemon Y version (if the names didn’t tip you off immediately).

What are your thoughts on the new Mega Evolutions and the unfortunate Pokemon on the receiving end on the same in the trailer? Let us know in the comments below. Pokemon X & Y is scheduled to release on October 12th for the Nintendo 3DS worldwide.
