Sony took a leaf out of Microsoft’s playbook this E3 when they decided to, for whatever reason, focus on TV for a pretty good chunk of their E3 presser. A large part of this was a painfully long lingering on the upcoming TV show ‘Powers,’ which releases exclusively to PlayStation devices over the PSN Store. It’s based on the Icon Comics graphic novel, and is being produced by Brian Michael Bendis, who is the co-creator of the comic.

The TV show will be releasing to PlayStation this December- casting and production are already under way. The TV show will, much like the comic, follow two private detectives who solve cases involving superheroes (the eponymous ‘powers’). It is the first instance of original media content being made available to PlayStation devices (Sony is a little behind Microsoft in this regard).

In case you are interested, you now know when to wait for. If not, well, let’s hope Sony stops focusing on peripheral concerns like TV content for their console soon.
