Proteus Announced for PS3 and PlayStation Vita

The award-winning indie title will arrive in Autumn.

Score another indie victory for Sony as it has announced that Curve Studios will be bringing Proteus, the award winning indie title from Ed Key and David Kanaga to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita this year in Autumn.

Proteus is a little bit different from most other first person games. Set on an uninhabited island which is procedurally generated and goes through different seasons, thus ensuring a ton of gameplay variety. As you explore and discover new things, you’ll find that everything in the game has its own “musical signature” and depending on where you go, the music changes.

The game will be ported over to the PS3 and Vita by Curve and will reportedly be “even better than the PC original”. More information is due in the next few months but we do know that it will support Cross Buy.

In an official PlayStation Blog post, Curve Studios stated that, “Over the next few months we’re going to have more information on how we’re using the power of the PS3 and Vita to bring the absolute best Proteus experience to you guys.”
