PS Store down for maintainance right now

Posted By | On 18th, Nov. 2010

Several users have reported that the scheduled maintainance for PS Store today is in effect now, preventing users from accessing their accounts.

Sony informed about this downtime earlier today and told us that PSN will undergo maintainance for a few hours.

Here’s their released statement from earlier in the day

From 4:05pm today until 1:00am tomorrow, PSN users will not be able to sign into the service or access the PlayStation Store, Account Management, Account Registration and the PlayStation website.

We wonder what the reasons for this downtime is, maybe Sony is preparing something for Gran Turismo 5 as its release date draws nearer
