PS4 Xbox one

The Game Developer’s Conference 2015 is almost here, and I am sure you want to know what the creators of our favorite games will have to say at the biggest forum for them to share their creative process; Sony and Microsoft will be having a massive amount of panels at GDC, discovering all the interesting tech and features on PS4 and Xbox One, and also on the upcoming Windows 10, and even mobile gaming (somewhere, the PS Vita weeps silently).

Sony will be focusing on its talks regarding optimizing the PS4 GPU, connected game experiences (multiplayer gaming, basically), and Unity, which will be where they will be talking most about indie games, I presume.

Microsoft’s panels sound a bit more interesting from a tech enthusiast perspective, honestly- they will be talking about DirectX 12, the cloud, ID@Xbox, cross platform multiplayer, and perhaps most excitingly, Windows 10.

GDC begins on March 2, and will go all the way through to March 6. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for coverage and information.

Sony will be focusing on optimizing GPU” HA ! optimize what ?
PS4 is like buying a Dell PC …”all off the shelf parts” what comes out of the box is what you get …with very very little optimizing to none at all , it’s almost as if everything is integrated ….so I don’t know what fake out Sony has up their sleeve …just like all the ghost updates … when you get the update ,you don’t know what you got ..and all Sony can come up with is … “we’re sending a stability update” give me a break …

@After1 quitting my work-desk job one year ago, 1’ve been fortunate to find this great website that literally saved me… They offer jobs for which people can do their work online from their home. My last paycheck after working for them for 4 months was $10k… Best thing about it was that the only thing required is basic typing skills and internet connection…->https://-> —>START HERE

I believe what they mean is optimizing their API, which can be done. You can’t really optimize a gpu, the hardware is already there, no changing it after that, but the API that the hardware uses can be. However, optimization only gets you so far, the best it’ll get sony is some cpu bottlenecking alleviation. But like I said, it’s not going to turn the ps4 into a supercomputer, it’s just going to help the pseudo 7870 stretch its’ legs a bit more.

“Perhaps most excitingly, Windows 10”. Man Pramath I should put u in a headlock. Lol. Nah jk. But I gaurantee, on DX12 talks, we’ll hear something about “hundreds of light sources” and/or Temporal Anti-Aliasing. Atleast that’s what Brad’s hyping up. Can’t wait to see a demo and read some stuff.

Also, should be fun to hear what Microsoft covers with the Cloud session. If I remember correctly, they’ll be talkin about Xbox’s hardware support of DX12 features, per Phil S. A month away isn’t too long.
