Quake Champions New Trailer Highlights Clutch Play

And we mean the champion's name is Clutch.

A new trailer has been released for id Software’s Quake Champions, highlighting its fifth character Clutch. It’s relatively short but provides a neat overview of what the sentient robot is capable of.

Clutch is a tank of sorts. Starting out as a mining robot, Clutch has since suffered a malfunction and now wants to exterminate all life in the Arenas. Neato!

It’s active ability is Barrier which block attacks while its passive ability, Still Defense, can be used to deflect attacks in its normal state. The latter means that an enemy charging at you won’t be able to send you flying and is ripe for the killing.

Quake Champions doesn’t have a release date for PC yet but it will be going into closed beta again very soon. What are your thoughts on the characters showcased thus far, especially the defensive Clutch? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.
