We’ll have to wait till next year to explore the world of Quantum Break.

Posted By | On 29th, May. 2014 Under News

Remedy has finally offered some new slivers of information on their upcoming action title Quantum Break in a new gameplay teaser. Writer Sam Lake appeared to talk about the game, which would focus on the protagonist Jack Joyce, and the show which would detail the evil schemes of the Monarch corporation. A full gameplay reveal of the Time-based abilities was promised for Gamescom but we got to see a bit of it in action here.

Lake also revealed that the game would be releasing in 2015 for Xbox One. On the one hand, we’re bummed that yet another first party exclusive has slipped into next year. On the other hand, the overall progress on the game thus far suggests it could use the extra time and polish.

What are your thoughts on the above gameplay teaser? What are your thoughts on Quantum Break in general? Let us know in the comments below.

Am Cry Sony Ponies we are playing TOP NOTCH first party exclusives why you are playing trashy low budget indies LMFAO!!! Waiting for PS4lol to come and put some copy and paste material in this thread. X1>>>ps4lol

    • Guest

Where are these TOP NOTCH 1st party exclusives?

You’ve had none so far & you’re still waiting.
Half a last gen Forza port & a Killer Instinct made by half a studio that isn’t even owned by Microsoft doesn’t count.

PS4’s already had Killzone, Knack, Infamous, all of which are excellent 1st party games, plus there’s Driveclub on the way.
All of those actually look like 8th gen games.

God knows when you’ll get your 1st proper 1st party exclusive, that’s actually an 8th gen game.

    • You are flat out right

      Knack?AH HAHAHAHAHA!

    • Guest

Yep it’s excellent, real gamers love it. 🙂

    • ME3X12

LMFAO!!! Knack welp stopped reading right there. X1 has DR3, Forza 5, Titanfall, Killer Instinct, Kinect Sports, Oh by the way both Forza and Titanfall have scored AAA status. So come again with your Delay Club, Killflop, and LMFAO!!! the nerve of you to even mention Knack LOL. And sorry but do you need a tissue? It’s a FACT that X1 has out currently more first party exclusives and alread some at AAA status but X1 has more first party in the pipeline also. Sony has nothing but delays and indies because they are BROKE!!!. Oh and this looks like it’s ps4lol posting a guest also.

    • Guest

Lol Titanfall isn’t an exclusive, it’s on PC & 360.
So much for Plants Vs Zombies staying a Microsoft exclusive, look it runs better on PS4 too.

Forza is as I said less than half of a game, also looks just like Forza 4 & Killer Instinct wasn’t made completely by a 1st party studio, so you’re wrong.

Knack was actually awesome, very fun, great throwback to awesome games like Crash, in nextgen looking clothes.
Killzone is awesome too, hardly a flop when it’s outsold every Xbox exclusive.
Infamous was also excellent & Driveclub actually looks next gen, unlike Forza 2 oh sorry I meant almost 4.

You can’t talk about delays when Quantum Break was meant to be a 2014 release, but oh look what happened, it got delayed to an undetermined date in 2015.

Sony’s broke? Is that why they have over $8 billion in the bank & are projecting a profit of almost $4 billion by the end of this year?
Why they’re renting out around 50 cinema theaters in the US to show just what awesome AAA games they have coming at E3?

You Xbots are hilarious, talking about a company being broke, saying it’s not getting anything but indies, yet it already has AAA games & Sony’s already invested in over half a dozen new IPs.
You can’t even deal in facts, just use red herrings & complete none arguments.

      Such a troll.

You clearly have no experience in business. Just because one division on many makes a slight profit don’t mean the many other divisions are not in the toilet. Sony’s credit is listed as junk and they are trying to sell off many other there divisions to save themselves. Kaz Hiri and all the executives have taken a 50% pay cut and gave up their bonuses. trust me Sony is in the freaking toilet.

Forza 5 looks way better then Forza 5 and runs at 60fps 1080p cough Delay Club at 30fps LOL. Get over it 360 and PC is MS MS basically runs all these markets it’s exclusive get over it. Just because you think Knack is awesome does not mean that 99.9% of others say it’s TRASH!!! Can you please show me these AAA games you speak of? Show us all on here where are the AAA games.

      Xbox One

      DR3

      Killer Instinct

      Forza 5 AAA

      Forza Horizon 2

      Sunset Overdrive

      Quantum Break

      Gears Of War

      Fable Legends

      Halo 5

      Plants vs Zombies

      Project Spark

      Peggle 2

      Max The Course of Brotherhood.

      Titanfall

And E3 MS is going to blow the roof off with games

      PS4

      Delay Club

      MLB

      Killzone

      The Order

      Infamous

      Uncharted

      Deep Down

      Resgun

Sony has indies and remakes of TLOU and GT6 coming LMFAO!!!

      You have been DESTROYED!!!

You now think you have experience in business. LOL
It’s more than one division that will make Sony profitable again (though they were before last year).
Playstation is one part, movies made over a billion dollars last year in profits, same goes for Insurance, their mobile business does very well & so does their Semi-Conductor business, since they’re 3rd in Japan.

Projections speak of after the turn around happens, meaning once their laptop business is gone & after the company costs are paid from those losses.
Nobody forced Sony’s execs to take pay cuts, they offered.
Sony still has over $8 Billion in cash on hand, check Forbes if you don’t believe me.

If Sony were in the toilet they wouldn’t be renting out a tonne of movie theaters in the US & giving away seats for free to all that sign up to view E3.
Seriously dude this is just for E3.
You think they’d be doing that if they had nothing in the way of AAA games to show?
When has a company done something like that before at an E3 event?

FYI no PC isn’t Microsoft, it’s an open source entity, not a Microsoft platform.

MS doesn’t make all OS’s, what about linux?
You don’t need an MS OS to run a PC.

When you speak of exclusives you’re talking about exclusive to one platform, so 360 doesn’t count when you’re talking about an XB1 exclusive.
You have no leg to stand on, because those games aren’t something that is unique on a console.

Lol you count Plants Vs Zombies as a MS exclusive, it’s coming to PS3 & PS4, but runs best on PS4 at 1080p 60FPS, I’m sure you’d be zoning in on that if the roles were reversed.

Again Project Spark’s on PC, not an XB1 exclusive at all.
Same goes for Titanfall, plus that one’s on 360 & MS doesn’t own the IP.

You’re going to count games that aren’t even announced LMAO!!!

God you’re stupid, so pathetic, if you’re gonna argue actually use facts.

Forza Horizon 2’s not even announced for XB1, same goes for Halo 2 remastered or Journey or MC collection, whatever it’s called.

Delayclub? What about DELAY BREAK for XB1? LMAO

It’s right what they say about fangirl’s they’ll use anything to act like they’re right.

Your list is much smaller than you think.

Sony has lost huge revenue 4 out of the last 5 years. Dude quit making excuses Sony is in serious financial distress and close to company liquidation.

    • ps4lol

PS4 is currently outselling Xbox almost 2:1 globally, 7 million to ~4 million as of April 6 2014. The sales gap is growing wider despite price drops and free Titanfall bundles. PS4 is still very supply constrained in some non-US countries.

MS shipped 5 million to stores, sold ~4.2 mil to consumers, with ~800k rotting on store shelves. Most console gamers are ignoring MS fanboy apologizing, denial, and damage control and buying PS4s. Playstation is a net profit and PS4 will gain on that profit.

“2nd fastest selling console ever!!1” Yeah no, sales cratered after the one time delusional fanboy frenzy at launch. It’s going to get WORSE as time goes on, not better. Xbox is shipping under 360 numbers and will soon be selling under 360 numbers.

Xbox will hardly sell anything in smaller “tier 2” markets already dominated by PS3 and PS4. The global gap is growing wider, Xbox will never surpass PS4 in global sales.

The 13 countries Xbox One launched in already account for ~90% of 360’s sales. Remaining countries will be 10% at best, but probably less since it’s launching late, more expensive, and less global appeal than the MURICA’ NFL TV box. I estimate the % of sales from non-launch countries around 5-6% at best.

Furthermore, Xbox is ALREADY AVAILABLE in pretty much every European country as a grey market import. They’re stacked on the shelves of “unlaunched” European countries. That leaves Asia, South America, Middle East, and African countries.

These markets for Xbox are so tiny they might as well be rounding errors. In other words, barely enough to move the global needle, let alone keep it from tracking under the 360 shipped numbers.

I can’t wait for September’s “launch” to arrive with all the sales force of a wet fart. Microsoft fanboys will be left gobbling up a mountain of crow yet again while scrambling for more excuses and straw grasping. Same with this China straw grasping. I’m sorry but that’s reality and if you think Xbox sales are going to skyrocket in September you’re in for some serious crow eating.

Xbox does not have access to all of MS’s money, they’re given a budget by shareholders and expected to turn a profit. MS shareholders aren’t going to throw endless billions into the Xbox brand that shows little or no sign of turning a profit.

The Xbox brand has lost Microsoft billions of dollars, Xbox One will lose them further billions. Why do you think Microsoft investors keep calling for it to be sold off? Xbox, Bing, Surface, and Windows Phones are all in the same general area of failure and net loss. MS’s consumer products besides Windows have almost all been failures.

OG Xbox lost billions, 360 made some profit but not nearly enough to cover the OG Xbox loss. Xbox One looks like an even bigger loss. Why do you think shareholders keep demanding Xbox be sold off, and execs keep mentioning selling Xbox? It’s a net loss that has lost Microsoft billions of dollars and not likely to turn a net profit anytime soon if ever.

Xbox is not “doing well”. The Xbox brand has lost MS billions of dollars, with Xbox One set to lose even more money. MS consumer products like Bing, Surface, and Xbox are all money losers for MS and some shareholders are increasingly unhappy about it.

Xbox One will be a net LOSS, not profit. Only question is how much they’re going to lose.

It’s sad PS4 is dominating so badly that you’re left desperately wishing Sony would go bankrupt. Keep dreaming.

Sony is selling or splitting off their lossy businesses (Vaio, TVs) and focusing on their profitable divisions. This means they’ll soon cut their losses and start turning a profit. You should be worried if Sony WASN’T cutting those losing divisions, but they’re making the right business decisions. They won’t ever be an empire again but they aren’t going under.

The gaming division and first party studios are well funded, are in a net profit, and working on PS4 games. During the quarter ending 31st December 2013 the Game business made a profit of $172m off the back of an impressive 64.6 per cent rise in sales year on year. Sony is in for a year or two of losses and restructuring, then provided their profitable divisions stay profitable, they’ll be on solid ground.

Sony is still worth 18.5 billion (in market cap). They just aren’t bringing in enough revenue or profits to bring that number up, and for a time, and probably for a few quarters here or there for the next few years, they might lose money. They also obviously have working capital, because they have games in development right now, and are able to market their newest system and do what they have to do to sell their products. If Sony were on the brink of bankruptcy, we wouldn’t be seeing AAA game announcements with budgets ranging from $50-100 million dollars. If they were on the brink of bankruptcy, they wouldn’t be buying Gaikai, or investing in new tech such as Morpheus or the PS4. PS4 will make a net profit, and Sony won’t go bankrupt.

Sony Game, Financial Services, Devices, Music, Mobile Products & Communications, and Pictures are all profitable divisions. They aren’t going anywhere, sorry.

Sony’s market cap is 18.65 billion as of today (2014).
Market cap in 2013 was 17.6 billion it has gone up since then.
Sony is ranked #80 in world as the most valuable brand 2013.

Sony is ranked #506 in the global 2000
      #87 in Sales
      #171 in Assets
      #547 in Market value
78.52 billion dollars in sales in 2013

      Sony Games Division FY 1995-2013:
      -9+57+117+137+77-51+83+113+68+43+9-232-125-58-56+48+29+2-8 = 244 billion yen net profit

Yes the games division is still a NET PROFIT even after the PS3 losses, PS1 and PS2 were just that successful.

Sony still has over 18 billion in cash reserves, the loss they have is large no doubt about this, was already set aside in restructuring costs, by doing this now they are going to be saving in over 1 billion in costs! This takes time, and in that time if Sony did not do what the board has done it would have been far worse, over 2 billion in further losses.

The point is playstation stock is not for public buy in. Sony has over 148 billion in physical assets, sony could indeed liquidate every thing except for smart phones, entertainment and playstation and still have paid off debt, and still have 18 billion on hand to invest back into the three core pillars of the company.

PS4 will have the graphics advantage the entire gen. PS4 hardware and software will outsell Xbox globally the entire gen. PS4 will have more dev support and more 1st party games the entire gen. Sony still has a large number of 1st party studios and they’re all working on PS4 games. PS4 will make a net profit, Sony won’t go bankrupt. I’m constantly right, as usual.

    • Guest

      No excuses made, just truth.
Sony made a loss last year, profited the 2 years before that, so that goes right against what you’re saying.

The companies not even close to liquidation, not with almost 100 billion dollars in revenue every year, costs reducing & projections of a $4 billion profit this year after the laptop divisions done.
All that Sony’s really left with now are profit making assets, that’s how much of a negative the Laptop business was & now it’s gone, so with the growing PS business, multiple PS service revenues.

They have a console that’s profitable on hardware alone from the beginning, selling more software than the last platform & also benefiting from the get go on PS+ & soon to gain more from PS Now (along with other, none gaming platforms like streaming to TVs).
Having an excellent movie business, electronics, insurance, semi-conductors & mobile phones.

You only want to see the negative, whereas I have a more honest, objective view as this is what the facts show.

PS4 has the superior version of all console AAA multiplats, more dev support including indies, a large number of first party studios, free to play games and MMOs like FFXIV and Warframe, and unannounced 1st party games (Gran Turismo, God of War, Media Molecule, Quantic Dream, etc.) Titanfall 2 and future 3rd party games will almost certainly be on PS4.

PS4 games not on Xbox One: Killzone, inFamous Second Son, Dynasty Warriors 8, Final Fantasy XIV, Warframe, DC Universe, Yakuza Isshin and other Japanese games, MLB 14 The Show, Bound by Flame, Injustice Gods Among Us, Knack, Natural Doctrine, Transistor, Planetside 2, Dragon Ball Z, MotoGP, Deep Down, Driveclub, The Last of Us, The Witness, The Order, and a ton of indies including Resogun and Transistor

The real “god gaming race” owns both a good PC and consoles, and they find your lies and ignorance disgraceful.

Both PS4 and Xbox will have good exclusive games, high end PCs are best for multiplatform games if you have the time, money, and effort to build and maintain one.

PC and PS4 are different markets with different pros and cons. PS4 has price/performance and simplicity, PCs have a higher potential performance, but generally more expensive and requires time and knowledge to buy, build, and maintain one.

PS4 has some interesting architecture benefits over traditional split CPU/GPU split memory pool PCs, and other GPGPU customizations. PS4 is comparable to a mid range PC at 1.84TF considering the APU and GPGPU architecture benefits and low level single platform coding. For $400 you get a lot of price/performance, more than a $400 PC would get you. PS4 is better than most PCs. PS4 will have lots of good exclusives, both console only and PS4 only.

Xbox/PC fanboys seem to be on a war on people too poor or unwilling/unable to spend time and money buying, building, and maintaining a PC. Mustard race claiming they can afford multi-thousand dollar PCs but too poor to buy a $200-400 console.

Both PS4 and Xbox will have good exclusive games, high end PCs are best for multiplatform games if you have the time, money, and effort to build and maintain one. Only deranged fanboys keep chewing their own legs off screaming about “PS4 peasants”.

Mustards don’t have “a point”, they just hate anyone who doesn’t have the time, money, or interest in building and maintaining a PC, and hate the fact that consoles offer a comparable gaming experience and exclusive games they can’t have. Unless they grow up and buy a console themselves, not that expensive compared to their imaginary quad SLI 4k PCs.

You sound upset that PS4 is the more powerful console, more developer support, a large number of 1st party studios, and is outselling Xbox by ~3 million. Keep shilling and spinning while everyone else ignores you and buys more PS4s.

It’s good to know you’re completely wrong and raging against facts and reality, and nothing you say will happen. I’m constantly right, you’re constantly wrong.

    • You_Are_Flat_Out_Peasant

I’m always right. You call a 1.84TF entry level GPU a “Mid-Range”. Hilarious. Keep on shilling, derp. PC will always be the master race
