Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege already has a Hardcore setting for Custom games but the developer has announced that it is working on a dedicated hardcore playlist for release in 2016.

In the game’s official forums, Ubisoft stated that, “By having hardcore be its own playlist, we will have the liberty to have the hardcore experience that we want and that the community deserves. We fully understand the desire for a more ‘realistic’ mode and want to support this at its best, without compromising the gameplay. As stated, this is a priority for us in 2016 and in the meantime, we invite you to try the Hardcore pre-set in Custom games and send us your feedback.”

Currently, it’s taking player feedback into account to decide some of the settings for the hardcore playlist. Players can expect a more minimal HUD though without any frag grenade or health indicators. You can check out the full list of expected elements for the HUD in the above forum post.

Rainbow Six Siege also received an update for Ultra HD textures to better facilitate 4K resolution players on PC. What are your thoughts on it? Let us know in the comments.
