Report: Kinect set to dominate in terms of sales on Black Friday

A recent survey conducted by the website www.blackfriday.com suggests that Kinect might be the flagship product for the upcoming Black Friday (November 26) in US.

According to website, they had asked “hundreds” of shops about which products are in demand the most and Kinect came in second, only behind the IPAD and above the iPhone 4. Interestingly, the Xbox 360 also features in the list at 15th and remains the only console to be listed in list of products.

Videogames are one of the most popular category of products during Black Friday and rank fourth among the categories of products.

Last year Nintendo sold the most during this period with over one million DS and nearly half a million Wii units moved.

Microsoft’s Kinect looks ready overcome Halo: Reach in terms of sales and is all set to become the biggest selling Microsoft product of this year.

  • Can’t see the interest in this considering how expensive it is for a newb to get into with console and all. The only people buying this up like mad are the same ones that bought 360s over and over again after those consoles failed. Like MS with everything they do, the people buying first will be pissed when they see the problems that it will have. MS NEVER puts out a fully properly functioning product on first release. Same with their Operating Systems, same with the 360, same with this. If I recommended this to anyone, I’d say wait a year for hardware revisions.
