Resident Evil 6 Gets Free DLC, Details Inside

Play as Ada’s partner.

Capcom is set to unlock the free Resident Evil 6 on-disc DLCs. The disc shipped with no hope difficulty which is essentially a very hard mode, and considering the horrific controls, I don’t see the need to have a separate mode for that.

The patch will unlock the Ada co-op campaign which lets you select a specific partner for the game. The Ada campaign only unlocks after you beat three campaigns of Leon, Jake and Chris.

Earlier there was a controversy over this as people found out about all these content locked way in the disc, however, Capcom responded that they’re only unlockables and not in anyway significant.

“We still have unannounced DLC for RE6 that will be revealed in the coming months and while virtually all such content will not be on the disc there will be one piece of content, that for technical reasons, requires the use of a combination of newly downloaded data and data that is included on the retail game disc,” Capcom clarified.

Instead of on disc DLC, companies should make on disc content that can be unlocked with save game files from previous/future games. Win-Win for everyone. Gamers get the content and the companies get more sales.

Agreed, not to mention it’s oddly satisfying unlocking things via previous games.

This game is fun but a lot of parts are frustrating, what with the sloppy controls and cheap deaths.I hate to have to play any part over and over because of a split-second failure to get to a certain checkpoint/area.I would like Capcom to just make a straight all-zombie game.I really don’t like the QTE inputs and such…just seems ridiculous. If the objective of Capcom is to create some sort of tension or suspense it’s a needless fail.
