Square Enix have released a new cinematic trailer for Rise of the Tomb Raider, Crystal Dynamics’ follow-up to the critically and commercially acclaimed Tomb Raider 2013 reboot. There’s not much to see here, except Lara Croft talking about what defined legends of the past and how some people, tomb raiders like herself, can only live by discovering the secrets of the world. Check it out above.

More importantly, the trailer confirms what we already knew – that Rise of the Tomb Raider will see its world premiere at Microsoft’s E3 2015 conference on June 15th. It’s safe to assume that we’ll be seeing the first gameplay footage at the event.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is actually a timed exclusive to Xbox platforms and will release on Xbox One and Xbox 360 in Holiday 2014. Releases on other consoles are yet to be confirmed. What are your thoughts about the new cinematic trailer? Let us know in the comments.
