Crystal Dynamics’ Rise of the Tomb Raider has received a new update today on PC to add new graphical features including support for DirectX 12. Either load up Steam or launch the game to install the update.

Along with DirectX 12 support, which will best serve those with appropriate hardware, the update also includes Nvidia VXAO Ambient Occlusion, a new benchmark for comparing performance across various configurations and systems. HBAO+ and other AO issues and motion blur issues in stereoscopic 3D were also fixed along with other optimizations and bug fixes.

The Windows 10 Store version for the update will also be available in the coming days and will download automatically.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is one of the few Xbox One titles optimized for Windows 10 – Gears of War: Ultimate Edition released recently and Quantum Break will be heading to Xbox One and Windows 10 this April. What are your thoughts on the new update? Let us know in the comments.
